The VARMEC company, originally formed to manufacture friction-type Variable Speed Drives, has expanded its operation to also produce a full range of Helical Inline Gear Reducers.
From the outset great emphasis has been placed on the utilisation of modern CNC machining centres to ensure high component quality and high grade materials viz: gears made from 18 Ni Cr Mo5 UNI 7846 steel, hardened and profile ground, casings and flanges from grey cast iron Q 250 UNI ISO 185 or spheroidal graphite cast iron UNI ISO 1083 and output shafts from either 39 Ni Cr Mo3 steel, hardened and tempered or 18 Ni Cr Mo5 UNI 7846 steel hardened and tempered.
The processing of all VARMEC components is done on modern cnc machines where it is obtained the maximum possible precision.The VARMEC range of Variable Speed Drives and Helical Gear Reducers is used in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications from woodworking to food and drink processing, from machine tools to tannery machines, textiles, pumps, etc.
